Online Bingo Jargon You Should Know

Before I get into tonight’s post, I want to see how you all did with yesterday’s bingo word jumbles – did you solve them all or were you stumped?  Here are the answers so that you know for sure:
1.    promotion
2.    deposit bonus
3.    bingo
4.    coverall
5.    live chat
6.    chat moderator
7.    four corners
8.    pattern
9.    jackpot
10.    random number generator
I hope you all enjoyed the word game.  I’ll post some more for you every so often just for something different.

Now, tonight, we want to give some definitions to some of the more common terms you may encounter at an online bingo website.  It can be easy to get lost in the jargon if you’re new to the game.

Admission packet:  this refers to the minimum number of cards that you need to purchase for a given game (typically 3-6 per game but check the site)

Buy-in: all this means is how much it takes to purchase entry to a bingo game

Chat room: the area where you may send text messages to the rest of the players and receive replies

Early bird game: simply a bingo game that starts before a regularly scheduled game (usually with lower prizes, rather like a warm up game)

Four corners: this is a bingo pattern where you must get the four corner numbers in order to win the game

Multiple winners: fairly self-explanatory, this is when more than one player gets bingo at the same time.  Generally the prize is split between all winners.

On: a term used to mean that you only have one number to go on at least one of your bingo cards

Pattern: the shape you are going for in order to win bingo in a particular game.  This can be the traditional line or a complex theme pattern of the bingo site’s devising.
